LUXE linear drain wedgewire grates are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The ADA Accessibility Guidelines For Buildings and Facilities Section 4.5.4 specifies that ground and floor grates "shall have spaces no greater than 1/2 in (13 mm) wide in one direction."We are pleased to provide grates that comply with these requirements, so that no individual need be limited from accessing the area safely and confidently.

The 2010 The Department of Justice’s revised regulations for Titles II and III of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) were published in the Federal Register on September 15, 2010.
These grates mentioned above are also extremely strong. This is an important point to consider if a wheelchair is to roll over top of them on a regular bases.
ReplyDeleteI have seen a few European Imports that have a similar looking grate but the quality of the grate is very poor and after only minor use the grill is concave'd....
The grill or wedge wire option from HeelGuard is one of the strongest grills I have ever seen.
